  1. Not sure where this falls, however I have just discovered that the TA is considered a special occupation and that the first £20 per week of TA earnings are disregarded against Income support. This could be useful information when dealing with potential recruits and even with soldiers that may rely on these benefits and be unaware of the disregard.

    It has helped me to retain a recruit who was worried about the impact of earnings against his benefits. There must be many others who are in a similar position
