The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
Lord that's powerful, and must have taken some putting together. Thank you Guardian.
RIP Donal , far too young.
kinda puts ones own life into perspective does'nt it.
Very moving to see it set out like that.
Such a shame nobody bothered to proof-read it - one entry about an RAF Regt SAC refers to him as a Pte who joined the Army. There are other little things in it too.
Well done Guardian, nevertheless.
Somebody probably did proof read it. They didn't ask me to, and I might have spotted some of the bloomers.
But you know, it is really hard for people with no idea of the military to get titles/ranks right. On Telic 1, a Corporal of Horse I wrote about became a Corporal, and when he saw it in the Guardian my guts were garters. No-one had heard of a CoH before here and he had his rank stripped by a sub-editor who didn't know.
So, forgive the mistakes in it, maybe, and admire the sentiment. It took forever, and so did the spread in the paper of the 179.
Keep repeating it, but well done Minty and her colleagues who put this together.
RIP the fallen.
