Just bumping this in case anyone missed it over the weekend.

Cheers. I’d missed it. I saw the RIP banner next to his name and assumed an admin cock up. Sadly not the case.
I’ve got a very eclectic musical taste. Anything from Elgar to Buju Banton & although not a regular poster on the music thread, I enjoy looking through it. His posts will be missed.

Sorry to hear your mukker has gone.

I must admit it came as a shock, no signs, no warning, just went to bed and didn't wake up.
My musical taste is and always has been very varied, but he introduced me to so many great artists.
I'll miss him a lot.

It reminded me of telling the world on here that Techno_Spastic had gone, so I know where you're at. He was another bloody good bloke, as it happens.

His brother is still a regular poster on here, although if he keeps taking the piss out of my posts I'll attempt to run him over next time I see him.

Bring it, fat lad. Your car isn't fast enough to run over a snail.

If I remember correctly this was the tune I posted that set him off talking to me about music, and after getting to know him better and stopping over at his, I think the title is very apt.

On that evidence, I'd have passed your details to the police.

It is with great sadness and regret that I inform the site of the passing of Pinback.
A legend in the "What music are you listening to" and the "Tonight I cooked" threads.
He was a personal friend and I was lucky enough to have spent time round at his gaff quaffing beers, sampling some of his amazing breakfasts and
admiring his collection of cocks. (roosters to you lot)
He passed away peacefully in his sleep sometime during the early hours of Thursday morning.
I for one will miss him dearly and I know some of you lot will too.
R.I.P Phil.
You is wiv da Angles now.
No idea what size boots but I did tap his daughter up for the tenner he owed me.
Losing a good mate is such a sad thing to have to report. But I am glad he went peacefully.

And well done on the business of the tenner :thumright:
(Life goes on an' all that)

I'd rather have had ten more years sharing music and beers with him.

I understand. I can't offer a proper substitute, but I'd be very happy to share beers should you get to the Isle of Wight. Also happy to discuss music, or even bring a guitar, banjo or mandoline. Or tin whistle.

You know what, I've never been to IoW but with an offer like that once this covid shit is done and dusted I'd be happy to take you up on that, Mukker.

He said 'banjo' Kirkz, be afraid. It'll be like Deliverance but with sticks of rock instead of shotguns.
