Take out what you want from all this below, maybe some of it's not relevant to you?
Yes....large tin (feckin bags splitting eh?
) of Porridge Oats, Rice, Golden Syrup and mixed dried fruit. Porridde does the business in the mornings and at suppers. It's filling as well. Don't forget plenty of bread, butter and jam too.
Have a troop whip round and go shopping before you go. Boil in the bag stuff, pastas, tins of tomatoes, herbs and spices, oregano, chili, etc etc.
Cooking oil.
Collect big and small tins for ex, they come in very useful. Don't forget to check your kitchen kit, rolling pin, graters, and a kitchen utensil set ( a few quid from pound shops).
Flour and marge for pastries. A bag of doughnut mix (easy peasy)
Unless it's compo only
....Just think, what do we eat at home, fresh meat won't last long and is too dodgy but basically with tinned compo (even better than we had) decent working cooking kit and enough fuel, the world's your oyster, live like Kings and fill your feckin boots. It's cold out there
edited to add: sorry forgot the spuds
