    Am I being a bit paranoid here, or are comments like that likely not to do any favours to any fijians on foot patrols and the boys stood close to them???????

    Seems that such a glib comment, even if partially correct, gives away any little bit of an advantage and draws unwarranted attention.

  2. Fijian Troops may or may not have a better devloped gut feeling, than other ethnic groups, which is as yet unproven.

    How does this help again?
  3. Careless reporting.

    They could have added "Some of the", before Fijian. That way it's a statement about individuals and not about racial groups.
