IDF shoot 60-2,000 wounded.

Hmm.. taking a leaf out of Pershing's book, only problem is the Israeli's have asimilar aversion to that tastiest of meats PORK.
General Pershing, buried rebels, and pigs | pinoyhistory
snip "After an engagement with indigenous Muslim troops, where American troops came out ahead, General Pershing reportedly had the Moro fighters who were either killed in the battle or executed, buried in a mass grave -- along with dead pigs and drenched in pigs blood.
The legend also mentioned that one moro fighter who survived was made to watch the whole process, released, and told spread word about what had happed to the others -- presumably as a warning to others who would oppose American rule
"
Yeah a Myth. Likely taken from a Gary Cooper Movie called ''the Real Glory'' about the Philippine campaign .

PSYOPS works if done effectively. Religious beliefs are a core thing to Fu*ck with, and bacon is cheaper than slotting people. Granted it would piss them off like no other, but they are already an angry bunch as it stands. It would be an unorthodox and politically incorrect solution to the problem, but it is also better than the Black Eye the IDF did receive in the propaganda war.
Worked out well for us during the Indian Mutiny - win one country for a wee while....

by the way 28,000 US National guardsmen DID serve in RVN including ground units like Delta co, 151st Infantry(Ranger) which served as a LRRP unit and numerous Air Guard and USAFR units like NY's 136th Tactical Fighter Squadron (F-100)
Yeah, aware...not knocking the Guard mate - their PX in Camp Bucca was a godsend, even if they did stencil their Humvees with the rather eccentric Unit tag

' WARPIGS'

( Military Police unit )

The Shrub is another matter.

F-102 was being phased out of RVN service by the time Bush even entered flight training (Of a quite Dangerous aircraft)
President George W. Bush And The F-102
According to the Air Force Safety Center, the lifetime Class A accident rate for the F-102 was 13.69 mishaps per 100,000 flight hours

I do same reason as the other two a bad case of yellowitis.
So those who served in the National Guard and Air Guard were Cowards?

what about those stationed in West Germany?

Were the Air Defence Command pilots assigned CONUS all cowards as well?

3/4 of the US military never set foot in South Vietnam during the war were they also all cowards?

That don't make him any more of a hero - just a reservist with obsolete kit :)

Errrr.... you're not so brain damaged as failing to realise that you're quoting a spoof news site similar to The Onion?
Oh my aching sides...do illuminate my darkness Trig ?

Isn't that the only reason troops don't deploy? ^^

@Bravo_Bravo you disagree regarding the Sepoy grease issue - (as is your right)

No petty squabble sought - just to further discussion even if its true Pork or cow grease was used at least 1 group believed (was fed) a false rumour since the use of both is extremely unlikely.

However I think we will both agree though that the Cartridges were the excuse / spark / last straw rather than the reason for the Mutiny per se
Absolute distrust and disillusionment with the EIC being the real cause and said distrust being why reassurances over the cartridges were not acceptable

Indeed just as USAREUR, FORSCOM, USAFK had obsolete kit compared to USARV
