Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Bugger - second time I've typed this in. So I'll cut the crap and ask for help.

Over a pint or eight at lunch it occurred to me that London has been bombed by many an ******** over the years - Sinn Fein, IRA, PIRA (in their time), anarchists, Zeppelins, Luftwaffe, V1/2, Angry Brigade and I suspect others - including the new ********* on the block.

Many of the targets have been at or close to Monoploy sites, so what about such a thing on a T-Shirt but instead of the purchase price put the casualty count. Centre can be enlarged "Go to Hell, go directly to hell, do not waste oxygen, do not collect 72 virgins" card brandished by churchill/queen/john bull.

Advice on design (experts from election posters) and t-shirt limitations (I willll visit local chap for some gen), also any expert with EOD archive of our local bombers.

Just a general question for now, this topic will be hot enough to wera such a thing for a month or two yet.

    Clue - monoploy sequence

Not sure it'd go down too well with many Londoners/relatives (I'm a bumpkin myself). I know that resilience is something to be proud of, but the t-shirt idea seems a bit insensitive.

  3. Completly insensitive and in poor taste.

    I'll have two please.

  4. Well, it wasn't meant to be insensitive - more showing defiance. However without better designer/ideas man than I appear to be it won't sell.

So bolleaux to it. Room 101 for that idea.

  5. No its a good idea and does show defience. Don't be put of by coppers sarcasm, I would certainly buy 2.

  6. Would it have the monopoly board design on it cos that would be copyrighted wouldn't it ?

  7. Like that would deter an ARRSE member lol !

I'm sure that Chavopoly would have been stopped by now if so...

  8. How long before the first spoof "Bombopoly" game?

I give it 5 more minutes.

Humour or bad taste? I don't know.
