  1. The following sad news has just been received: Ian died last night in hospital, after a short illness. He had settled in NI after he left the Corps in early 80’s, in the rank of Capt, having been commissioned in the late 70’s. He was best known for his time with 8 Det in the 70’s. He is survived by his daughter Denise, who requested that those who might remember him, be informed. The more formal notification will follow through the ICA network. The past few years had been difficult for Ian, after he suffered a stroke, which left him severely disabled. Please PM me for details of funeral.

  2. Very sad news again WB - Two within the space of a week. The name was familiar to me, probably from the 8 Det connection, but, unfortunately, I don't think I met him. Condolences to his family. Have made my contact in SCIT aware of both gentlemen in case anyone makes enquiries.
