Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Before everyone starts carping on about walts and spotters, I'm not interested in being one, only using them on a display.

What I am interested are names of reenactment, military living history groups in Scotland.

I'm basically trying to get a display going for the Stirling show showing Scottish Soldiers through the ages.

Having trouble with Napoleonic and WW1 time periods. WW2 that are not special force, commando, para orientated would be appreciated.

Its all part of the TA100, pipers trail shenanigans.
  2. I'm sure I saw a group of WW1 Jocks at Fort George a couple (?) of years back - and I'm sure they weren't from the Seaforth Museum or the resident battalion. You could try Historic Scotland at the fort on 01667 460 232 to see if anybody recalls where they from.

  3. Thanks guys
