I have PCOS can I join the raf

Hi it's been my dream to be an engineer at the raf for a couple of years now. But I've been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome and i'm being tested for cushing's syndrome and wondering if those are disqualifying factors. Looking at the medical conditions, they reject adrenal diseases which both of the above are. However cushing's can be treated if I'm found to have it and pcos is common with women so I'm wondering if that is taken to consideration. Do any women here in the military have pcos? If so what has been your experience with it?

there is a special thread for all medical matters, take a look in there and the links on the front page

Call them and have a chat.
And don't take the first answer you get, if it doesn't go in your favour (these things aren't always completely black and white).

The good news is that the RAF are generally crying out for engineers, so there's a chance that you'll get in when other branches would have told you to take a hike.
