Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anyone know if having controlled hypertension, ie on medication will disqualify me from operational tours? I've been medically graded P3 LE but am due for a review in the next couple of weeks. I'm not 'unfit' and train three times a week.

    Would be grateful for advice/opinion
  2. i dont know
  3. P3 LE

LE = Lines of communication Everywhere / Local Everywhere.

You wont be on the 'front-line' .

Worst case scenario - you lose all your tablets!
Your condition will not become problematic to your health for approx 5 days should you not get your medication - so you could drive from camp to camp, work in HQ elements etc.

Tour, dependant upon trade should not be a problem. your RMO will discuss all downgraded personnel with the CO

    Have fun
  4. many thanks.
