Hurrah for the CRE

Would any one be kind enough to post the words to 'Good Morning Mr. Stevens' please.
I do know bits of this and I know there are a few different lines, so in memory of an old Sapper mate (worked at the RE Jerry Can Factory on the Canal) help please.

Hurrah for the CRE
Good Morning Mr Stevens and Windy Notchy Knight,
Hurrah for the CRE
We're working very hard down at Upnor Hard,
Hurrah for the CRE
You make fast, I make fast, make fast the dinghy,
Make fast the dinghy, make fast the dinghy,
You make fast, I make fast, make fast the dinghy,
Make fast the dinghy pontoon.
For we're marching on to Laffan's Plain,
To Laffan's Plain, to Laffan's Plain,
Yes we're marching on to Laffan's Plain
Where they don't know mud from clay.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah,
Ooshta, ooshta, ooshta, ooshta,
Ikona malee, picaninny skoff,
Ma-ninga sabenza, here's another off.
Oolum-da cried Matabele,
Oolum-da, away we go.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah,
Shush ....................... Whoow!

Many thanks, rely on the old RE! :D
That's more or less the version that I have, but do have lines,
"I saw a black boy sitting by the fire,
I saw another one pulling his wire"
"Hold him down while I get at him, Hold him down while I get in".

Ah, what memories that brings back.

How many times I was attached to various Royal Engineer projects, learnt all the words, and then lead the singing of that during our p!ss ups.

I hope that you blokes are still singing it.

Good on you.

Hurrah! 8)

Believe me those songs are with us for life! myself and the other half of the 'Nom De Plume' that is 'Jonathan Smiles, author of "Pull Up a Sandbag" sang everything we could remember several years ago on the Croatian Coast in a Restaurant/Bar and had Croats and Germans singing their own songs to attempt to outsing us... There isn't such a thing as We 'were' the Royal Engineers!!! We 'ARE' the Royal Engineers... even us who have long since left the fine Corps
