Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  2. HR Soldier? Is this stuff written by idiots? They are called clerks and tend to be about as useless as the RLC but unable to lift anything heavier than a couple of lever arch files.
  3. Soldier receives Operational medal after tour. Shocking ;-)

  4. I hope you're not referring to all RLC.

Oh, and they're not clerks, they're Human Resource Specialists.

  6. No I wasn't, and, no, they are bloody clerks. Mine never specialised in anything.
  7. They are running out of things to interest us with
  8. It's nothing unusual. The AGC publish an article like this every time one of their soldiers completes PDT and a tour without being medically downgraded. They're renaming a block at their school in her honour and holding a jamboree too.
  9. Yet another "woman does job, big ****ing deal" story

  10. Hopefully with bent knees and a straight back or the H&S soldier will tune her up.
  11. COMBAT (pmsl) human resource specialists if you don't mind!!
  12. Sluggy will be along in a minute Ssssshhhhhhh!!!
  13. tiny wee lass. Looks a bit like an elf in size*. Someone has to do the paperwork without screwing it up and to let people know when payday is.

*based on my somewhat limited experience with elves and pixies. Haven't seen many since I gave up absinthe for Lent.

  14. You'd think, wouldn't you?
  15. Chill people, chill.

There'll be a story soon enough about a heroic RAF bod doing his job to lift our spirits within the next couple of feeds.
