Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. From the Associated Press:

"WASHINGTON - The Education Department has advised school leaders nationwide to watch for people spying on their buildings or buses to help detect any possibility of terrorism like the deadly school siege in Russia.

"...schools were told to watch for activities that might be legitimate on their own -- but may suggest a heightened terrorist threat if many of them occur.

    "Among those activities:

"--Interest in obtaining site plans for schools, bus routes and attendance lists.

"--Prolonged 'static surveillance' by people disguised as panhandlers, shoe shiners, newspaper or flower vendors or street sweepers not previously seen in the area.

    "--Observations of security drills.

"--People staring at or quickly looking away from employees or vehicles as they enter or leave parking areas.

"--Foot surveillance of campuses involving individuals working together.

"The Education Department sent its letter by e-mail Wednesday to school police, state school officers, school boards, groups representing principals and many other organizations."

  2. Amazing init? In the good old US of A it is not the terrorist that is the threat in schools it is the gun totting kids. Just the other day they arrested another social outcast loner kid looking to celebrate Columbine Day in the now traditional method.

The spams have got themselves so badly spooked they have entirely lost focus.

Still I hope we get another episode of Seinfeld.
  3. NWD, you forgot

"--Not stating the bleedin obvious. Watch out for the shifty Goth, bullied puter geek kid with a car load of semi automatic weapons, home made explosives and a large collection of Star Trek DVDs".

As was stated above, the US's biggest threat is from within, not some turban encrusted fanatic called Abdullah with a non movie motivated lust for taking out the school line backer cos he shagged all the trouts he was too afraid to ask due to a foriegn policy that made the annexing of Poland by the Nazis look like a day out by Swiss Nuns with the local disabled kiddies sunshine bus. Fundementalist radicals?? You surely mean The White house and all of Satans little helpers. At least the Mullahs have a rough idea what is going on in the world of only one Sun. I very much doubt Washington DC have any idea about what goes on outside 745 Int Bn, Hollywood.
  4. be fun watching the glorious islamic warriors get slotted by mad teenage goths though
  5. individuals working together ????? here in England thats known as a pair or group
  6. I'd pay to see meet the Postal workers in the round.
  7. From the New York Times:

"PHILADELPHIA (AP) A 10-year-old girl was placed in handcuffs and taken to a police station because she took a pair of scissors to her elementary school.

"School district officials said the fourth-grade student did not threaten anyone with the 8-inch shears, but violated a rule that considers scissors to be potential weapons."
