Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I can't be arrsed to trawl through old threads to see if this has been mentioned before, so here goes:

Every season there's a promotion play off in the Championship to decide the third team to get promoted. It adds a bit of spice to the end of the season, and it's probably the only time I go out of my way to watch Championship footy. Here's a thought - what if we did the same in the premiership to decide who stays up? 19th and 20th placed teams would go straight down, while the 18th, 17th, and 16th placed teams would play each other to decide who stays up. What a finale that would be!

  2. how would a 3 way playoff work then?

  3. They could play each other once, like they do in the Amsterdam tournament. The team with the lowest points or goal difference would go down.
