How much would you pay for "Art"

    I had a discussion with my girlfriend about her supposed distinction between "art" and "craft". According to her, the reproduction of anything real, like a portrait or a sculpture, is craft.

    Personally, I wouldn't spend more than ten or twenty quid on something to hang on the wall. I think when I get wealthier I will throw some paint at a canvas and hang it on the wall and tell people it is a Jackson Pollock, and see if people notice it is not.

  8. A couple of years ago I did considr paying £300 quid for a landscape tryptich which I was particularly taken with. Wouldn't consider going much over that though.
