The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute [ blah.. say that three times fast ] reports that Global military expenditures hit $ 1.04 trillion US in 2004, almost the highest since 1987-88.. this means Governments spent on average $ 162 per person on weapons and soldiers that year.. Somehow I don't think Canada laid out more than 37 cents per so someone else must have had deep pockets and I think I know who.. Still 162 bucks doesn't get the poor front line joe much does it? What did you get for your money? real fruit in the MRE/IMP pack? extra boot laces? c'mon, fess up.. what did you get?
