@Mike Barton you dished out a 'dumb' rating and ran away. If you don't engage how can I stop being dumb in the future? Anyway what's dumb? My post, or you for being a bit flakey? You Silly Billy.
Disagree. An external benefit is a benefit that an individual or organisation confers on others without receiving compensation. Compensation does not have to be financial; we give compensation by way of our consent to accept adverts. That has a quantifiable value.Sorry mate but you’re wrong.
The financial transaction is between the site owners and the advertisers. Therefore, we are, from the point of view of the transaction, the unrelated third party.
And the OP is still a ****.
I think your interpretation is tenuous. About the quantifiable value of an external benefit that is, not about the OP being a cúnt.Disagree. Well that’s two of you casting aspersion’s on the assertions of the chap whose specialist subject on Mastermind would be ‘EVERYTHING KNOWN OR YET TO BE KNOWN TO HUMANKIND'.I think your interpretation is tenuous. Missed that. Is it because I didn't click on any adverts, or because I'm the ugly kid?Don't forget the vouchers for a reach around after five years on the site.
You are the other one.I do hope you mean @Greenfly...![]()
I don’t think so. Pigou’s original writings about positive and negative externalities made it clear that the third party to whom the externalities accrue has no relationship with the other parties. Pedant hat off.I think your interpretation is tenuous. About the quantifiable value of an external benefit that is, not about the OP being a cúnt.
Fuck offWell that’s two of you casting aspersion’s on the assertions of the chap whose specialist subject on Mastermind would be ‘EVERYTHING KNOWN OR YET TO BE KNOWN TO HUMANKIND'.
I don’t think so. Pigou’s original writings about positive and negative externalities made it clear that the third party to whom the externalities accrue is independent.
The legal environment covering digital marketing requires the recipient to consent. Facebook isn’t free; you pay for it by consenting to receive adverts. It’s explicitly stated in their Ts&Cs. https://m.facebook.com/terms.php
I walked away from a thread that has been dumped in the hole, I left it to the saddos, deadbeats and bullies who get their kicks from goading people who have mental health issues.@Mike Barton you dished out a 'dumb' rating and ran away. Don't bother replying, I won't see it as you're on my ignore list, I doubt I will miss much.
Liar as per above, you can't put a mod on ignore. Remember when you pretended to have me on ignore too?I walked away from a thread that has been dumped in the hole, I left it to the saddos, deadbeats and bullies who get their kicks from goading people who have mental health issues.
You're a moderator, really?
Wow.
Don't bother replying, I won't see it as you're on my ignore list, I doubt I will miss much.
You're right, I just discovered I can't ignore a moderator, oh well, one more tiresome bully I have to put up with.
I have to say the mods really surpassed themselves in this thread, they really kept the standards high.
When some sad bastard on a cocktail of drugs or drinks tops himself after some shit flinging on this forum and the Daily Mail or Guardian gets a hold of hit with headlines about bullying and veterans' mental health or whatever shite they come up with, I am sure they mods will suddenly find it convenient to delete this thread.
Meanwhile I am apparently the bad guy here, good thing it's Friday evening and I have a lot more interesting things to do with my life.
. . . , good thing it's Friday evening and I have a lot more interesting things to do with my life.
Is it lonely up there on your pedestal Princess? You're right, I just discovered I can't ignore a moderator, oh well, one more tiresome bully I have to put up with.
