how illegal would a selective fire electric crossbow be?

Electric Automatic Cross Bow - YouTube
thats a semi automatic at but if you scaled it up to fire continuolsy just how much legal trouble would you be in for owning it.
Its obviously of little practical purpose but the idea makes me giggle :)

Well it wouldn't be classed as a firearm, and as far as I know bows aren't yet regulated. I'd talk to a solicitor who specialises in that sort of thing first, if I were you. Cheaper than the fine would be.

if I could be actually arsed to be such obviously barking weapon I could see a big market in selling it to people who obviously should'nt be allowed access to metal cutlery:)
and Americans.

link up with independant Boffin (if he's still in on piece) to create the ulitmate in enviromenatly friendly death and destruction:)

i thought that too. quite unusual to see both semi-nudity AND a headscarf at the same time. well, outside of brummy/omani brothels of course.

re cross bow ammo. wont you go thru absoilutely shit loads of arrahs/bolts? unless you have a weapon with shockingly shonky tolerances you wouldnt want to fire reused bolts... would you? not just the bolt-head but the fletching surely? i mean obviously what do you care? you'll be knocking off african guards in their watchtowers and that but still...

5/10 I quattro dell'Oca selvaggia (The Wild Geese) film completo in italiano1978.wmv - YouTube (see 6 mins in...)
One of the greatest films ever made! Shirley the addition of poison to the bolts would be advantagous?

If you're under 17, you'll be liable.

Depends on the strength of the bow.

Crossbows Act 1987

(Been a while since training school).

But let's face it, it's liable to be an offensive weapon however dressed up ("made adapted or intended for causing injury to a person") so be not really.

Not this American. I want one of those vortex wave generators mentioned in your linked Youtube page. Something that can knock over an outhouse at a distance with a doughnut-shaped air current is a must-have item as far as I'm concerned.

No Thanks, I'll stick to my National Match M1A with Leopold Mk 4 scope, or in a pinch hook up with a Buddy in Pa. who owns several Thompsons(M1A1 & M1928A1) a Bren (ithink Mk II) and a .30 Lewis

Crossbows are for Hardy Kruger wannabes

sussex polic actually advertised for some one to do firearms licensing.
*knowledge of firearms law not neccesary:(

these were the same clowns who seized an empty 66 as a dangerous weapon and were seen in the paper posing with it and a klingon batlaff:)

IIRC a 66 (even an expended one) is Section Five (since 1988) .

which is plainly silly and if they weren't sure weather it was dangerous or not mugging for the camera even sillier
