How does the 2 REP (FFL) compare to the British Paras?

It appears that the Foreign Legion's 1 REC is the first operational French Army unit to receive the EBRC Jaguar, where it will replace the AMX-10 RC.

Here, Legion cavalrymen familiarise themselves with their new steed:

The bloke in the blue beret is from a regular French Army technical services unit ensuring a good handover. of the vehicles

For those of you on FB, a nice vid of the band at Mont Saint Michel 05/06/22.

I bumped into them on 07/06/22 when a VVIP (they wouldn't tell us who it was) visited Colleville-sur-Mer American cemetery.

On the night of 21-22 June, a company (appears to be the 4th from the grey DZ recognition patches) of 2 REP was airlifted from Corsica and dropped directly onto a DZ in Estonia on Exercise Thunder Lynx, where it conducted manoeuvres with local troops.

So the A400 went in and dropped 100 paratroops after flying 3000km - and it dropped from both sides - not bad, that means our capability is close to that too.
REF the Lynx - 40mm CTA turret on a vehicle that works. The crafty blighters.

The Sagie has / is officialy not in the french army’s inventaire too anymore
We gifted Chad quite a few recently 2019 ?
Being replaced by the EBRC Jaguar.

Short clip from 2 REP's official Twitter feed celebrating the retirement of the last C-160 Transall in French service:

I worked with them during UNTAC when the Movement Control Group and BOMAP joined forces to confound the rest of the contributors!
Edit: … furthermore, when we deployed, after transitting BKK, we were lifted to PNH by a French Air Force C-160, on 12May92.
