Anyone else been having trouble with Hotmail today? Or is it just me? Can't recieve or send, and messages on hotmail site indicate a problem.

Running ok here - What client are you using ? I know hotmail itself was winding down/changing to Windows Live but can't remember the details

Just looked at my Win 7 setup -it's playing up today as well with no access but my trusty XP machine is still going in no probs using Windows Live Mail. Checked the boards and there does seem to be an issue with Microsoft Mail clients generaly.

I had an issue last night when accessing it through browsers, but today its ok. They have probably been hacked or maybe their transfer to make it all outlook went tits up.

My Hotmail works fine on the phone, but not on the lappy.

It keeps giving me a blue screen of death, logging me out of everything, re-starting itself and I have to log back into everything.

Sent from my pink lappy, in the living room.

I have no idea what "client" I'm using, but whatever it is, they are not paying me enough.

I wonder when we get an arrse equivalent of hotmail.
Let's face it, as MS:

* throw away Live Messenger (turned off today) in favour of Skype;
* move Windows to be something to run on your phone instead of on the PC that everyone is claiming will be obsolete in a year or two anyway;
* suddenly Office prices plummet because they realise that Open equivalents are available for free;

etc, etc, and people can get their free e-mail from Yahoo, Gmail, ISP, wherever, I see MS identifying diminishing returns from supporting Hotmail and chopping it.

Besides, it must be 10 years since I got an e-mail account from a website akin to Arrse but not military-themed. Since I think Arrse has grown as big as it has, I can see it happening, maybe not for a few years, but yes.

It would be very easy to do, I have done it in the past. I think it should be done, I would use it instead of hotmail.

@Arrsemail.com the soon to be most desirable email in the world :)
