Look on the bright side TJ.... Jesus was obviously and officer: He only has 12 mates, was a scruffy backstard, could waffle on for hours without anyone having a clue what he was on about, believed he could walk on water, and finally ended up naked and tied to a 'tree' because hed managed to p1ss the troops off.......... :D

I've just had to take a 70% pay cut while I try and find a proper contract again.

thats cramping what little style I have somewhat, but better than signing on. it's also why I'm up now as I have to be in the office for 7am. (and on a saturday too! :( )

Oh dear poor boy at least you have a job.
Play nice LLTQ, this moaning and inactivity will be good practice for when theyve finally passed out of RMAS.....

I've got a week left of my contract and then I'm off until January. Saved up enough to avoid the dole, get away on holiday and puchase a car full of tweed. For the record, my current job is awful.

Should take the dole. You lot get paid to loaf around and complain that there is nothing to do. It will be good practice.

I hear what you're saying and whilst I look forward to complaining about everything going, I can't quite bring myself to walk through those doors and sit down with the cast of Jeremy Kyle for an hour every other week.. drives me insane

I don't love my job, but it will do for now. I have managed to manoevre myself into a pretty good position; I just went for an internal move, and my new line manager is a pretty good sort (H4H bumper sticker) so I stuck my neck out and told her my plans.
She absolutely loved it, was delighted at my honesty, even said that she could get me extra time off for Fam visits etc. Will be really nice to be up front about stuff with her, instead of having to take mysterious days off mid-week.

I lost my job here as i couldn't be honest with my tl or hr dept. Not the best idea to announce you are joining the army when working in the city side of Londonderry. Still too long now until i'm away and a few fam visits will break up the time nicely.
