Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6505025.stm

That way they can create more havoc!!

'The slimmed down Home Office will then be left to concentrate on dealing with terrorism, security and immigration.'

    2 Paras later:

'There will be 350 Home Office staff working on the counter-terrorism strategy - an increase of 150'

Complete and utter WOOF WOOF, this is how they spend their days, thinking up such rubbish?
  2. Does that mean they will split the Home Sec in two as well and if yes can we watch the **** go.
  3. i think it means the heat is taken off John Reid when the prison system goes tits up!
  4. Looks like a way of giving Reid a soft landing over prisons.

They couldn't have made this split if the NI parties hadn't agreed to form an Administration, because there wouldn't have been enough Ministers to staff them.

I dislike the idea of a Ministry of Justice. Nasty foreign concept.
  5. the BBC just said 'the home ofice will be split because it doesnt work' well along those lines...

does that mean i can start cutting things and indeed people who dont work?
  6. Ministry of Justice?

Doesnt sound very British does it?

Another stunt to cement Blair's "legacy" no doubt.
  7. Nehustan

    Nehustan On ROPs

Quite Orwellian...so I guess kinda British...
  8. Not not too uncommon a name, a quick google search should show this.
