@wafubustard @daz . I'm working up to my next build of a steam pinance . I think number 199 is restored and kept in the dockyard , so if either of you fine gentlemen (or indeed anyone else) can get a few pictures for me especially of the deck planking and the helm position I would be very grateful.

The French in 2014 launched the L’HERMIONE, she’s a replica of a 32 gun Concord class Frigate. The original was captured by us during the Napoleonic Wars, the then Admiralty made detailed Naval drawings of her. These were given to the French builders at Rochfort when they approached the Admiralty.
Have we captured the latest version yet?

Is its the one bobbing around outside, any photos I've got would be on this thread https://www.arrse.co.uk/community/threads/portsmouth-historic-dockyard-light-craft.296037/
Being in Wales, it might be some time before I'm back down there :(

Sorry it looks like someone has stolen her.

I will look in the sheds if I can.

IMHO its long overdue that they build some sort of dome over Victory to preserver her from the elements, or at least refloat her (in a preservative mix) to help support the hull and prevent her sagging/ hogging.

@4(T)

I believe she now has emergency exits below the waterline thus preventing her from being refloated.

She has a cradle system of supports to prevent her hull from sagging but the damage has already been done.

Here are some of the support struts and one of the emergency exits below the water line preventing her from being refloated.

I know it is possible to repair such holes but I think you may be opening a huge can of worms trying to do so.
