I was on there about 30yrs ago it was the time they were repairing/replacing the bowsprit
the thing that struck me most was the vast amount of rope in use.
apparently they had to scour about for long retired carpenters with old tool skills for the work on said bowsprit as they didn.t want young jimmy with his black/decker bodging it.

I hope these are of some use. I will have to get onto the computer and see which ones I have posted more than once.

I hope some are what you asked for.

I can get more if required.
Just tell me what you require. I had to do some googling for the definitions of some of the shots you wanted as I hadn't heard the terms before.

Pointy bits on top, blunt end and pointy end I am happy with. :)
A good lesson for me as well.

The French in 2014 launched the L’HERMIONE, she’s a replica of a 32 gun Concord class Frigate. The original was captured by us during the Napoleonic Wars, the then Admiralty made detailed Naval drawings of her. These were given to the French builders at Rochfort when they approached the Admiralty.

are you working there now? as a matter of fact a picture of the hammock netting on the port and starboard sides of the poop deck would be handy, Airfix doesn't supply them in the kit, and the sides of the Poop are just sheer, gust of wind and it'd be man over board. The netting acted like splinter protection when the ship was at Action stations. Ships boats if you can get to them too.

I found some etched brass mesh for the safety netting on the head, I will use some stretched sprue to make the rope handrail.

robbed the Revell ships boats, she won't be needing them as the Temeraire being towed to the breakers. As a strange quirk of fate, the small scale of the Revell ships boats is really handy, the cutter become the Pinnace and the Two boats supplied by the Airfix kit become the Barges, the Jolly boat stays as the Jolly boat.

I just realised I'm posting all this in the wrong thread, my apologies.

very handy mate, thanks for taking the time and effort once again. Blokes like you and daz and the rest of the lads on here are what this site is really all about. That Hammock netting I notice from your pictures goes down from the poop to the quarter deck steps, I've been wondering about that, now I can see what I've got to scratch build, cheers.
