Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  2. Does it then go to a scrap yard?
  3. Diverted to Libya on its way to the scrappies.
  4. Bit of a theme here anything beginning with HMS ends in scrap yard.

HMS Somali Pirate is sitting back and chill. Filing its nails and regarding the horizon.

Good thing we've got lots of these frigates to respond to these emergencies around the world.
  7. Presumably she will be suitably backed up by one of our aircraft carriers with a squadron or two of Harriers to provide air cover and a propper deterrent.............................oh hang on????????????????
  8. Depends if there are any US citizens caught up.
  9. Hopefully all they need to do is put on a really, really good cocktail party.
  10. As I mentioned in the Merged Libya thread, the ship's company of the 'Fighting Sausage' will love this. They deployed last September for their third six-month deployment East of Suez in as many years and were on their way home. Still, it adds a bit of spice to the mixture.

Whenever Cumberland gets back, she's due to join SDSR death row along with the three other survivors of her class so this is her final fling.
  11. Over a hundred Brits to squeeze into a T22? The ALO will have to give up his single cabin.
  12. If it is on its way to the scrapper, would you not be tempted to sail into Tripoli and get the noisy toys out? - have that final fling and empty the magazines in order to make more room for duty free?
