Just a week too late to rescue anyone from Libya then.

Oh good, a few days late and a few thousand miles away. Just the sort of ship that would have been really useful. No rush now then.

FFS it's an assault ship. only one step up from an RFA, not exactly a ship of the line, how the mighty have fallen, Nelson must be fuming

Or maybe its exactly what we need as at the minute we are moving Bods from A to B. Not much high end war fighting that requires Sea Wolf, Harpoon or stingray torpedoes (or 32 pounder cannons seeing you want to take Victory instead) going on in Libya.

If the grownups decided they needed here last week she could have been sent last week, BOST could have been conducted on route. And im sure they would want her here incase they decide to fill her up with RM/NATO RR Brigade or so on.

I liked this quote.

"The culmination of the training was a simulated evacuation of civilians from a conflict-ravaged country where law and order was breaking down."

Wouldn't even have needed to leave port to complete that Op.
