HM denied extra money

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can''t have that! Lottery money is going to fund the 2013 bean feast in London, which will benefit the whole of the UK, unlike the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 which is only going to benefit the jocks......

    Is anyone surprised?

They want to see the destruction of the Monarchy and any other great UK institution, er, like the United Kingdom for that matter.

I think it's very simple for her...she does what every other Civil funded 'Agency' until funds are used up then refuse to do any more work...would be interesting to see what the response would be when she gets 9 months through the financial year and then doesn't turn up to a state opening/visit because she can't afford the train fare!!!

  4. She could always do what the big Corporates do Offshore and Outsource and set up an umbrella monarchy in Mumbai, taxed at domicile rates and do video links to open parliament and send texts to old man broon instead of the monthly tea and stickies at the big house.
  5. You don't mean like some "Contracted out Government agenices" do you?
  6. B0llocks.

What a crap post. The 2012 (not 2013) beanfeast will benefit London, not the whole of the UK. I don;'t think people in Manchester, Newcastle or other places north of Watford will see any benefits from this.

The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow is receiving exactly zero lottery funding as the application was refused.

Now - where is the benefit going again?
  8. Your assertion is spherical, plural and correct.

Relatively little lottery cash is being thrown at the 2013 Olympics (note new date due to overspending on the diversity budget).

More pressing priorities for lottery funding include:-

    UK Sex Workers Network
Gives legal advice to prostitutes. Oops, I meant sex workers. 'Prostitute' has become an un-word under New Labour

The UK Lesbian and Gay Immigration Group
Funds outreach work with gay, and transgender asylum seekers who are, ahem, banged up in detention centres pending deportation.

Advises 'trans-people' about which toilet to use and, somehow, helps asian lesbians to avoid forced marriages (presumably only forced marriages to men).

    Transform Africa
'Fostering gender empowerment' in Tanzania. Part of 190 million quid of lottery cash that's been sent abroad since Labour came to power.

Of course other, less important organisations have had their lottery grants stopped to fund this fiasco. These include:-

    The Samaritans
Grant refused because they weren't doing enough to target ethnic minorities.

    Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue
Grant refused because they 'do not benefit minority groups'.

    Caister Lifeboat
Grant refused because they don't adequately target their resources at the disadvantaged and they lack ethnic minority crewmen.

    Sick bag anybody?
  9. Err, now let me see, if its her goverment and they don't support HM. Could her majesty just to a simple swipe of her hand and disolve this crooked goverment and put the key players in the tower for being then bunch of trators that they really are?

  10. As we now live in a Communist Marxist State, being run as an autocrocy by Broon, we should now be surprised that No 10 is attempting to starve out all in Buckingham Palace, so OUR Pollit Bureau, what's this some people are equal but some are more equal than others.

The Winter of Discontent, HERE WE COME!!
  11. I think HM should be treated just like every other council house dweller, her landlord (in this case the British People) have a duty to maintain her house so it is fit for habitation, this in the case of the Queen is compounded by her dwelling being a listed building which places a responsibility on the landlord to maintain the fabric and facade in its original condition. The Queen doesn't own her property and she can't sell it so the Government has a duty to maintain it.
Mind you, as with most of the MoD's prime real estate the Government may well decide to put Windsor Castle on the market, after all, heritage? What the fcuk's that? Seems to be zanu liarbour's motto these days.
  12. If only.
  13. As someone else on this site said not so long ago, the labour party know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.
  14. As I understand it, the Civil List was agreed in exchange for the incomes of 5 royal Duchies being transferred to the Treasury. That income is around 5 times the cost of the Civil List.

If the Treasury are no longer going to honour the agreement, HM should take the Duchies and their income back - look at the income the Prince of Wales gets from the Duchy of Cornwall!
