Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Anyone know of where I can get a good pair of Goretex Hiking/Walking boots cheaply?

Preferably by the likes of Meindl, Brasher or Berghaus.

    Any help appreicated.

  3. Cotswolds, chain of out door stores all over the UK do discounts for Military with ID and i think the Plod as well...... well they did 3 years ago when i got my last set of hiking boots

  4. Yes, they do - and so they ought, because they charge top dollar.

  5. Brasher hillmaster, 3 season boots with goretex lining for ~£100

I got them 3yrs ago and they are dead comfy.

  6. I agree, Brashers are top. My missus was eagle-eyed enough to get a (new) pair on EBay for about 30 quid and they're awesome. I knew I married her for something.

  7. Altberg, they are on the web.

Damn fine boots, military or hiking, and cheap as well. Most of all...... Made in Yorkshire!

  8. Go to the Atberg shop on the Richmond trading estate they sell nearly perfect secons at good prices
