Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just wondering if any sup specs can recommend this trade. The recruiter at the careers office has given me some info and I've had a look at the army web site.

Do you do tactical re-supply's or is that just drivers that take stuff up the frontline.

I like the idea of outoor type stuff rather than just being a storeman....is this job like reme technical storeman?

Any other suggestions for rlc jobs PLEASE HELP!

    Thannks :?
  2. Looks like you're recruiter needs to update by a few years!!!
  3. He probably does.......could you explain what it's all about these days ?
  4. Bump......ANYBODY?
  5. Read into this page what you will:

    RLC Supplier

You'll spend most of your time either stacking shelves or on a PC doing accounts. Not much outdoors stuff to do as most of your time will be spent either in a tent or a boxbody.
  6. The promotion is very good, even if your shite if some of the recent promotions are anything to go by! In my book promotion=lots of coin=happy days!! :p

    Yep, Logistic Specialist (Supply)
  9. My arse do we spend all our time doing stuff like that, only if you have no motivatation and never volunteer for anything.
I've been all over the world just because I've bothered to put my name forward. (and not just on op tours).
I also have better kit than the PRI sells

PacMan, I can't really give you advice because I don't know anything about you, despite being a rambo-navy-seal-storeman or whatever we are called this week I would not currently recommend my trade, unfortunly anyone who is sick/injured (or claims to be) gravitates towards it so we have a rep for being useless. Its not hard to stand out and be noticed though, that can work in your favour and its easy to get some of the better tasks. On the flip side you also get some of the bonk jobs because your the only one trusted to do it.
PM if you have any more questions on the trade.
