Help needed... what is POL POINT and MTWO?

Discussion in 'The Intelligence Cell' started by lucky_legs, Jan 29, 2008.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. At a guess:

    POL : Petroleum Oil Lubricants
    MTWO: Motor Transport warrant Officer

    Welcome to ARRSE!

POL Point = Petrol, Oil and Lubrication Point. Kinda like an Army Petrol station, if you will.

MTWO = Motor Transport Warrant Officer. The big man in charge of the all the green vehicles the Army owns, bit like a Fleet Manager.

While we're on the subject, can anyone tell me what MFO stands for, as in MFO Boxes? No one ever seems to know!

Its a typo. Should read Pol Pot. He was a baddie.

MTWO is a term of endearment. My Tremendous Warrent Officer.

Do you play World Of Warcraft? I'm a 9th level Palladin Knight, but one hates to boast.

Movement Forces Order I was always told....
  5. I thought it was Military Forwarding Officer, but am prepared to be corrected. :D
  6. I've just been told Military Freight Organisation?

The plot, like the Subbie, thickens....

  7. Military Freight Organisation... now defunct but the terminology lives on!!!

  8. Hmmmmmmmmm Subbies??? They're rather like gravy .... with too much cornflour in!!!
  9. Standing corrected! A smart(ish) left handed salute to you Frank :salut:
  10. Well, I am new to this Army malarkey....few more:

Why is it a "ZAP" number?

Why the L at the start of weapons (i.e. L85, L1A1)?

Why does my Tp Sgt beat me up so often?

  12. How should I make "ANFO"?

    What does "wah" mean?
  13. Because they call it in when you get zapped

Because you deserve it (that's what they told me, anyhow). :)
