HELP! Need Student Nurse Information

Hi, it’s been a long time , I’m just wondering if any of you have got your train tickets for the insight day at Sandhurst for the day on the 4th December? I have applied for accommodation on the 3rd December as I will be travelling down then as I live 5 hours away

Hi guys, sorry for the late response! Firstly good luck with the assessment centre next week! I’m sure you’re going to smash it!! I’m on the insight day or ‘officer familiarisation visit’ in December. It was originally booked for the October one but my assessment centre was booked for the same date so they moved me to the December one instead. Still unsure about it all as haven’t had any update on it as yet

Hi,
I’ve read the thread and I’m in the same position but a year later. I’ve recently started my application for student nursing. I was wondering how it went for you? What was the nursing board like?

I have got through 3 pages of this thread and as yet there is no mention of a bus.

Disappointed.

Take notes on what they say during your introduction to QARANC. They'll ask you for the course of action to becoming a QARANC nurse, specialisations and which you want to do and why, how specialisation works, where you can be based during all of this, and how your family feel about all of this etc etc. Personally, I had written an answer to potential questions I might get. I highlighted the key words and memorised everything, like a script. This really helped me because when I started getting stressed out during the interviews, I would rejog my memory and automatically get back on track. That's how I did it anyways. At the assessment centre, show your teamwork and leadership skills. Be outgoing and supportive of others, you're only competing with yourself at the assessment centre. Practice your physical training requirements and be yourself. They'll see through dishonesty. Good luck x

Hi,

I have the board interview around the 15th-19th of March as ive passed selection and now im really nervous as I dont actually know how competitive student nurse is. Do you know how many generally apply? And how was the assesment centre for you fitness wise. Since the covid restrictions theyve made us do the bleep test rather the 2km run x
