Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Afternoon all,

Can you help an ex-crab identify these patches I have come across, if it helps the box also contained a Royal Marines crest, and an RAF Officer's cap bade.

    Thanks a bundle.

    Attached Files:

  2. The second one is an impaled shield Exeter / Oldham. Henry Oldham was a Bishop of Exeter. Not found the institution yet though.
  3. Fourth from right is the Bristol University Officer Training Corps Cap Badge and/or the Coat of Arms of Bristol University
  4. The one between the shields is a cap badge, very similar to a Harbour Master/ Admiralty Pilot's

Edited to add: That little anchor looks like a device that Admiralty Pilots wear/wore above their rings (fnaar) in place of the curl (fnaar) that RN officers have.
  5. Thanks very much for this Joe and STABALTERN69...But Milliband...Weren't you a senior member of the very cabinet that wrecked our country? You can go to heck...¬_¬
