Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hello All,

I'm new to the site and am a Lt with the 4th Bn The Royal Welsh, looking forward to contributing to the site.
  2. Pray tell me who are 4th Bn The Royal Welsh. They do not exsist. How ever
  3. Your quite right, however our "official" title, according to Bn HQ is Clwyd ACF, 4th Bn The Royal Welsh. Apparently there is no "need" to place the word Cadet twice in the title.

Any explanations, I'd be happy to receive. :D
  4. I was merely observing that you seem quite keen to drop the 'cadet' part of the title but I now feel perhaps you were simply trying to bait a response?
  5. Gavin, are you being serious?

  6. Not the 4th Battalion the Royal Welsh though is it......its not a TA or a Regular Unit that is a battalion of a regular unit. Other Counties that are all badged, such as the LI and SCOTS ones use the term Cadet in the title before Battalion.

Surely its 4th Cadet Battalion the Royal Welsh, otherwise known as "Blankshire" ACF?
  7. Well that's what it says on the T Shirt they gave me (or very similar).

Good to see you on here by the way G.
  8. Hello again Gavin, golly you do look smart.
