  1. Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience of either the:

Helikon Commander's softshell: Helikon Soft Shell Jacket

    or the:

    Helikon Patriot fleece:

    Helikon Patriot Fleece Coyote

I'm looking for something to be worn under the smock for most of the time- t-shirt alone is too nippy but having my softie on is too much.

    Cheers

  3. got the commanders and highly rate it

  4. Cheers for the replies lads. Glorious Groundie, how thick is the Commander? Would it be overtly bulky under a smock?

  6. Got a commander, easily worn under a smock with no dramas mate

  7. fits fine for me, especially as the new pcs smocks are massive!

  8. Got my Helikon Commander fleece in the post yesterday. Very nice bit of kit. Cost 40 quid on sale from Soldier of fortune at the moment too :) .
The arm pockets on the Commander are designed/made the way the arm pockets should have been on the PCS kit IMO.

  9. Helikon Gunfighter Soft Shell Jacket Coyote

That's the one I have, got ripped off a bit in terms of price I think seeing as it's nearly the same as the Commanders which costs slightly less.

I've used it under the smock and it's alright, I wasn't overheating either. I use this in place of my fleece now, it's a good piece of kit. Packs down well too btw.
