Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi guys can someone please tell me if you can go for army helicopter pilot selection from being in the infantry
  2. As long as you meet the requirements & standards you can come from any branch of the army.
  3. I think you're just the kind of chap they're looking for!!!

But whilst waiting for this thread to be binned or moved out of the 'competition' forum.

Yes, you can go for Army Pilot from inf. Infact they quite like Inf guys (and other teeth arms) going for it.

    And what's wrong with teeth?
  9. Aye, that it be, that it be!!
  10. What are the current terms? Kinetic Corps? engagement entity?
  11. TPFR (Target Population For Redundancy).
  12. Ha ha.

Talking to a Cav chappy the other day, and if he is correct the whole army will be replaced by the Omnicapable Cav (grudginly inclusive of the RTR)... well, def the Infantry.
  13. From infantry you have to be full screw or equivalent, (being made up in the signals platoon will do) speak to your coy Clark he will have the book with current requirements and can book you in on a visit, it's hard graft from what I have seen good luck
  14. If you already have helicopter flying experience, this may help.
  15. Or not, as experience repeatedly proves.
