Heavy fighting erupts over separatist Nagorno-Karabakh (Armenia Vs Azerbaijan)

who knows whether this is genuine and what they are really saying, but an intriguing insight if it's real (the tweeter is definitely not pro Armenian)

Looks like they might be fed up with the Armenian equivalent of Sodexo

As you said, who knows what they are saying. Call me Mr. Cynical but even if there were subtitles in English it could still all be a load of brown smelly stuff.

I saw bits of it translated earlier, the impression I got was that these guys are some of the civilian volunteers and had been told 'you will get issued that once you are in theatre' a bit too often.

The Canukistanian boycott of engines and optics?

That Rotax engine is fitted in @300 types of light aircraft around the globe, the Turks can either buy through 3rd parties, or they could simply clone the engine.

The WesCam EO fit? Aselsan in Turkey have started production of a domestic equivalent.

Interesting piece. It may explain why the Turks are so heavily into UAVs and UCAVs. Another way for third world air forces to become less reliant on expensive pilots and fast jets as well.

One might muse what little tricks the Argentinian air force equipped with long range UCAVs might get up to, seeing as they can't afford fast jets.

Perhaps the RAF might want to buy a few of these for deployment down south:

Edit: it seems the RAF looked at buying some in 2012 but decided against it. Ooops?

Not hard to see why the troops are jacking in and going home, occupied Azerbaijan has become a killing field for the Armenian Army.
at this rate, Pashinyan will get his stated wish to fight to the last Armenian.

That was a genuine row.
A genuine translation would be very revealing.
The senior officer present was asking about the fit of boots and frequency of mail. The RSM wasn't there to moderate the Corporals' Mess.

Seems the Armenians are now trying to drag the Iranians in, started shelling Azeri forces on the Iran border from Inside Armenia with artillery up close to the Iran border.

Why would the RAF want them when they have much more capable Reaper/Protector?

There's an argument for the cheap and cheerful stuff for the Army...it could have had Harpy but went for Fire Shadow, which disappeared into the ether 8 years ago

Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Minister wounded in action

Nagorno-Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan announced this morning that Lt. General Jalal Harutyunyan, Nagorno-Karabakh’s Minister of Defense and Commander of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, has been wounded and discharged from his duties.

Arayik Harutyunyan has appointed Major General Mikayel Arzumanyan as the new Defense Minister and Commander of the Defense Army.

Harutyunyan also stated that Jalal Harutyunyan’s discharge should not be subject to misinterpretation since the decision was imperative due to the injury he had suffered. ‘I wish a speedy recovery to Jalal Harutyunyan and I am sure that he will return to his country’s service very soon’, Harutyunyan said.

ETA: another General gone this morning.

Head of the counterintelligence department of the National Security Service of Armenia, Major General Hovhannes Karumyan relieved of his post

An expensive, but potentially effective, way to send a message.

'The speculation presently sweeping the Alt-Media Community this week is that Russia’s massive anti-militant strike in Syria’s Idlib was a message meant to deter any Turkish intervention in Azerbaijan’s on-going counteroffensive against Armenian forces and their allied separatists in Nagorno-Karabakh. The narrative being pushed is that Russia is extremely unhappy with Turkey’s reported military assistance to Azerbaijan and unconfirmed reports (both vehemently denied by Ankara and Baku) that it’s facilitating the flow of Syrian militants to the front lines there. There’s some truth to the optics, but the substance is certainly debatable.'

'Turkey is an aggressor state that is waging a war in Nagorno Karabakh through the hands of Azerbaijan. It is about time Russia should to show its military strength, otherwise the genocide of Armenians will start and Eurasian integration will tumble down, expert Vladimir Lepekhin believes.

The British army already has an effective suicide drone............but it’s just that it takes the notion of suicide a bit too literally ;)

Ah, so its us Brits behind the war - and the rest of the troubles on Russia's borders..

"According to the expert, the current hostilities, although they have the historical base of the permanent Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, are part of the war, in which other, more serious players participate - Turkey and the UK. Turkey, while trying to become the main regional player, is a key instrument in the hands of the chief curator of the conflict - "British special services that receive support from US Democrats."

This process has escalated throughout post-Soviet space on the eve of the US elections, the expert noted.
"We can see this happening in Belarus, where Poland is the instrument. This is happening in the South Caucasus, where Turkey is the instrument. This is happening in the Donbass, where Ukraine is the instrument. British special services have been increasing their presence everywhere, and of course, they have been doing that with the support such figures as George Soros and other American Democrats," said Vladimir Lepekhin."

Good to know we are still punching above our weight in terms of covertly running world events.

What else would you expect from Pravda.

Reporting a speech from the Armenian President. Interesting that he felt the need to stress the obeying of orders, etc (given yesterday's video of some Armenian troops abandoning their positions):
