  1. Hi i go for soldier selection on monday and have heard alot about people getting deffered wit heart murmers. I got diagnosed with 1 when i was born but then tests showed that it was innocent. I was just wondering if there was anything i could take with me to prove that, or if they might have it on record already. Any help would be appreciated cheers spiny.
  2. In the same situation fella. I've had a word with the doctor and hes referring me to cardiologist, because I rasied my concern with it. Get the OK from him, it will be logged on med forms and that should be that.
  3. I would expect that the examining doctor will refer you to a specialist, any docs you may have would be useful to bring, might help speed up a otherwise lengthy process.
  4. Cheers for the help im gunna get it sorted tommorow first thing. Cheers spiny.
  5. Yeah I would suggest getting this sorted before you have to make a lengthy trip to ADSC then get sent back home because of a bastard heart murmur. Took me 4 hours to get there on train was in the medical room for about 2 hours then got sent back home same day, couldnt believe it, I was so ARRSED off.
  6. if you get deffered for a heart murmer i wouldn't worry i don't want to alarm you but it normally meens you have 3 months to live :D
  7. Guy I was in with had a none specific heart murmur. But it had to be checked out . He ended up WO2 and had no bother with BFT or CFT.

As long as the dicky ticker doc signs it off as not a problem. You'll be fine.
