Heard of these charities?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Been asked about 2 charities and just wondered if anyone had had any dealings with them and what their experiences were.

A prompt response would be nice as the person asking the question may be about to donate to them.

The Warrior programme & The Rifles Care For Casualties Appeal

Any feedback would be gratefully received.

  2. Gremlin

    Welcome to the Warrior Programme

Not to be confused with The Wounded Warrior Project, who are scamming bastards!

The Rifles "Care for Casualties" Appeal

Both seem legit and have decent supporters, the latter at Bn level.
  3. Cheers Gremlin.
  4. There's also the Welsh Warrior (Richard Hunt Foundation) which helps Welsh service personnel or those attached to the Welsh regiments and their families. This is defintely legit - set up in memory of the 200th soldier to lose his life whilst serving in Afghanistan.
  5. Has anybody had direct contact with The Warrior Programme, either as a user or as a member of staff?

I'm looking for some third-party views on the organisation, as I've been pointed in their direction.
