Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. OK bone question time, (again!)

ok i'm a HCA and working towards my Assistant practitioner foundation degree, but i'm only a pte, so how does that affect my TA role? (QA HCA,)

i was under the impression that only Sgt work towards this in the regs, so what would be there next step? seems crazy to step down to a cpl to become a nurse, or is there more progression after sgt and AP? or is that it?

hope this makes some sense, and yes i KNOW i wouldn't job up ranks just because of a civvy quali, i meant more how it would actually work with in the HCA setting in a field hospital (was going to ask this tonight but everyone is at a cocktail party! bloody ta!)

    many thanks
