Sunday 10th December was the HBSA Wappenshaw. There was an any rifle category but I saw many classics of which the top 4 prizes were taken by 03 Springfields in 30.06. see pics.

  3. Nice pictures!

I'm a member of LERA and I keep seeing references to HBSA but know nothing about it. Is it a learned body? Does it do much shooting?

I would say look on the website but its in dog order at the moment.
Historical Breech loading small arms association. meetings held at where but the IWM in Lambeth.PM me and if you're interested I can invite you to a lecture that a LERA man would enjoy! We do a fair bit of shooting as well as the study and lectures are good. I think we have 4 or 5 branches now so no excuse for not getting to meetings, note to self, slap.

Sadly I am too fat for photos now so I took all these. That looked like a german shirt. I used to wear a KF even in the FI as it was warm. I liked mine! yes I am sick, I also had a Kahki brown one with pleated pockets.
The Historic is supposed to reflect the arms but for an or that is 32 years old and fightig just as hard for our heritage as when I first heard about it as a schoolboy it feels quite young. I was until last year classed as a junior member being under 40 years old. I have decided since achieving that landmark to become an adult but with some childhood hanging on!
