Hats off to crab air.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Up early for an Airport run through the night, listening to the news on the vehicular wireless there was a ferry running aground about 7 miles from castle dohnut so went to have a nosey.

The wind was pretty grim, especially coming off the see, and if I had to guess would say a steady 40knts gusting to 70-80+

The crab air crews, much as it grieves me to admit it, were fearless.

Fcuk that! Winching blokes up and maintaining a hover in those conditions took big balls.
  2. I hope the groundcrew were alright, doing a see-off in that weather. still, they'll have a brew on by now! :D
  3. You're totally correct, credit where credit is due, well done to them.
Pity so many others in the junior service are useless gits. IMHO
