  1. Yes - a good idea as a stand-alone forum

  2. No - Current Affairs, News and Analysis covers it already

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Bad news and Good news seem to be getting to me in equal measure these days: I must just be at that age where the generation above is passing on, whilst the genration below is getting married or having kids.

When my folks were this age the first part of the newspaper they turned to was always the Hatches, Matches & Dispatches (or Births, Engagements/Weddings & Deaths for those not quite as irreverent as I am) but all their friends and family were reasonably local and there really was only one decent newspaper where we were. All my closest friends are in uniform and/or spread across the globe with ARRSE being the only quick and easy way of staying in touch. That being the case, would there be merit in a Hatches, Matches & Dispatches Forum on ARRSE?
