More great news from the Daily Express....

They said: "The big problem is that Harry has no marketable skills, has never had a real job.

"He does not have a university degree nor does he know a second language. He only has military training.

"Harry has given up on real life for his rebellious American wife, but his sacrifice is exploding in his face.

"Their marriage is tense, they could be at a breaking point."

I’m gonna cut Prince Harry some slack because I think he’s found himself slowly over a period of time caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

He’s met and married Ms Markle and presumably, no doubt she was thrilled to collar a British Royal personage to fall in love with. You would assume that when marriage was being discussed, she would have had an in depth explanation of what the Royal Family do and how it all works for family members including how to behave with the hierarchy.

So the wedding happened and then the baby came along and for a while things seemed to be setting down. Then the rumours started and the end result is Harry and Meghan are in Hollywood and she’s already landed a major voiceover role in a big production.

I think they are clearly where Meghan want’s to be. In actual fact, I think this has probably privately always been Meghan‘s fall back position in her mind if she decides, she doesn’t like her role within the Royal Family.

As an American actress, Meghan has been part of an entirely different social structure. For her whole life, she has operated according to an entirely different set of rules where self promotion and money are the de facto tools that get you to the places where it really counts.

There is a kind of an American equivalent to British Royalty in social terms. There are lot’s of differences. One of them being that there are thousands of Americans who will fall into the category of American royalty.

Megan Markle has risen from the lower echelons as a reasonably successful actress to a potential superstar entirely on the basis of her marriage. The size of acting fees are set on the basis of the importance of the name. An actors importance is usually set by their success in bringing in box office fees because of their performance in a film. Marriage to a British Royal Prince will be an excellent alternative.

So I think Megan decided that after trying being a Royal in the UK, she decided it wasn’t for her because she knew that she could be Queen rather than a minor Royal if she went back to her old job back in the USA.

I don’’t think Harry had any choice in the matter once she had made her mind up. She would have gone back without him. And then of course, there’s now a child to consider. She would have undoubtedly tried to take the Prince Archie back with her.

For Harry the choices were quite stark. He could try and insist they continue as they were. He’s probably tried that and got a very resounding no. If he’s to keep his marriage together and be a good father, he has no option other than to do exactly what he has done.

So I blame Meghan. I don’t blame Harry. He has to make the best of it and if thats the case, there’s no point in wearing a hair shirt. I do though wonder like many others how far this marriage will go though. Meghan is wearing the trousers and once the Royal connection has served it’s purpose, she could be very ruthless.

Harry had better keep his eyes on the bank account and make sure he doesn’t lose out. At the end of the day given Meghan is set for Hollywood Queendom and and some very large pay cheques on the basis that she’s married to a British Prince, Harry should at least take half of everything she claws in thanks to him.

Just out of interest, why so they need security? They aren't royals any more, she's a D list actress and he's an ex-Army Officer..........
Blair ain't Prime Minister (although I'm sure he thinks he still is) but he's still sucking off the public tit when it comes to his personal security.

Can't argue with much of that, but how long will the Hollywood career last once she's just Meghan again, not a Royal Duchess or Princess?

And she's annoyed POTUS so will be long anywhere that might be important.

They fucked the Queen off
Slagged POTUS off,

Whats next calling Putin a gaylord or something ?

Blair is an obnoxious creature, but he is a former PM, so there souldn't be any quibbling there. Feathering his nest on the back of his former status is a little more debatable.

I think you've been quite nice to young Harry, but I would also say you sound like Meghan's agent for optimism.

The voice over while bringing in some welcome cash is hardly a major production, firstly it's being released as a package with another documentary about dolphins, secondly the publicity it's being given is subdued to say the least and thirdly, live action Disney nature docs aren't really what gets your name out to the public unless it's already known. (I'll give you hers is known but I suspect that Disney may be hedging their bets, if it does take off trebles all round. If it sinks, bye Meghan).

There are indeed thousands of American 'royalty' and they come and go with no sense of permanence. Who would you say is US 'royalty' this year?

Meghan is a reasonably well known TV actress, but superstardom? I don't think so 'Suits' was/is no 'Friends' nobody goes to the hairdresser and asks for a 'Markle'. People did ask for a 'Rachael' and look where Ms Aniston is now, reasonably wealthy but nowhere near the superstar bracket. Or Madonna (in Hollywood) for that matter.

'She could be queen' Not while Oprah is alive or there's the chance that Miss Collins might be in town. I don't think she even qualifies as pretender to the throne so it's optimistic to say she's set for queendom, Angelina Jolie
Meryl Streep,, Scarlett Johansen, Jennifer Lawrence are way in front of her with bodies of film work and box office potential come to think of it Gwyneth Paltrow:eek:.

On which subject she's been in the trade from her teens and has been in a few films, none of which made an impression at the time so she has a track record but not one to inspire confidence.

I'd say her USP is the Windsor connection and that has a short shelf life.

Spot on. I'd suggest that at present her oeuvre in the porn genre is greater than one Disney voiceover.

After her behaviour of the last two years, I really hope she's remembered as a failed porn actress rather than anything else.

@rgjbloke
I agree with Rgjbloke about Harry and finding his world changing fast and if he wants to keep young sprog he has to follow. But I think Chef has it about right, to be really big in Hollywood you need to be a good actor of have that 'star' quality. Megan is at best an adequately good actress and hasn't demonstrated that she has that glamour to take her further. Being Mrs. Harry may carry her on a wave for a while but unless she raises her game then that wave will die a death at some point, Hollywood can be very unforgiving if you don't carry your weight. If she does divorce then she loses that 'royalness' so I imagine she will want to hang on to it as long as possible.
I just wonder how much Harry will actually take being in a world with a value system totally different to what he has grown up with, especially after the Army where it appears he was happiest. At some pòint I see him distancing himself from it all, and I don't think that young Markles has actually considered the fact that he actually might not be happy there. Herewith lies a potentailly fatal flaw in her plan.

I read mention of Madam’s “porn-star” past, but did she actually ever star in porn? According to the Daily Mail she once dated an ex porn star bloke, but I can’t find anything else, deepfakes asside.
