What better way to achieve a fast worldwide statement of position than an Oprah chat?
Bear in mind she may also be setting up for a counter to the Bower book which is likely to be extremely damaging to her image. Again a fast, conspicuous way to answer rather than lengthy interviews and articles.

I think unless Oprah sets it up extremely carefully she would be dumb to do this. Though she may be looking to balance out the damage the first interview did to her reputation and if she can get it right a second time she may consider it to be a good move.
