Each bank has three cylinders in a triangle with a crankshaft at each point. Two pistons run in opposition in each cylinder. The engine is a two stroke, using vents in the cylinders to let in air and vent exhaust gasses. Therefore two pistons each in three cylinders (6) multiplied by three banks (18)

Which European capital city's name means Island Fort?
By an etymological stretch, Stockholm: where ‘Stock’ is thought to, possibly, derive from a Germanic word for ‘fortress’ (as in stockade) and ‘Holm’ is well known to mean ‘island’.
ETA: It is also well known that Stockholm - one of my favourite cities - is built on a number of islands, one of which contains the Royal Palace.
