    Seeya next year!

  3. In order to prepare for the festivities, the following is reproduced from hogmanay.net...

    Auld Lang Syne

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup of kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne!

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
    And surely I'll be mine,
And we'll tak a cup o kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne!

We twa hae run about the braes,
    And pou'd the gowans fine,
    But we've wander'd monie a weary fit,
    Sin auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl'd in the burn
    Frae morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
    Sin auld lang syne.

And there's a hand my trusty fiere,
    And gie's a hand o thine,
    And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,
    For auld lang syne

Normally, the first and last verse are sung.

Translations for those who don't speak Jockanese:

    be - pay for
    braes - hills
    braid - broad
    burn - stream

    Stay safe.
  12. Happy New Year and goodbye to the year i discovered ARRSE.
  13. Indeed. As my daughter and I stood looking at the firework display over Aldershot, a lone schermuley arced into the air in an act of luminescence in contrast to the flash civilian illumination. It is indeed an honourable and fine way to spend your life. I am gone, but a glass is raised to The British Army, wherever you are.
  14. Happy new year, I feel sick and I have to see the family tomorow woo!
  15. Just watched the City Council spunk next years budget in an orgy of Gunpowder.

    It was dead good :D
