Happy Crab Air Day

Today is the 75th anniversary of the BoB and the junior service has been busy holding a televised ceremony in Westminster Abbey. They even have their own corner set aside on this hallowed ground to commemorate the occasion and had a load of Spitfires flying around a few days ago.

The Army, of course, has the Tomb of the unknown soldier, but where's the memorial to the Royal Navy for the Battle of the Atlantic? Doesn't that battle, which was arguably more crucial to our survival than the BoB, merit a special corner too? Afaik there is no official Royal Naval memorial in the Abbey (other than submariner and a few individuals/ships).

The Luftwaffe may have been able to wipe out the RAF, but destroying the Home Fleet is another matter.

Why is the silent service so good at being silent over its own victories whilst the RAF PR machine rolls ever onwards?

There is this one.
Battle of the Atlantic Place | home
RCN albeit.

RAF, RAFVR, RAuxAF and WAAF mentioned but glaring omissions of Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, Commonwealth and other Allies. Bit of a snub if you ask oi.

Where is the snub? Not on this site. Do you have a link?

Aye, Flash. Nary a mention but a lot of female Wing Commanders and Squadron Leaders trotted out. Probably someone forgot to mention the "Others".

End of the show at Westminster Abbey, Graculuis. Four or so females appeared and each recited the RAF and other attendant (RAF) forces, but nowt about anyone else. Probably catch it on BBC Iplayer I would imagine.
