Seriously, congratulations on the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Royal Corps of Signals.

Last year I contacted the Royal Mint, and informed them of the forthcoming centenary of the Royal Signals, and will they consider striking a commemorative coin, either a £1 or 50p piece. they informed me that my application will be forwarded to the selection committee. As of date I have not had any further communication.

I collect coins.

My grandfather ( 1897-1967) 1752 Sgt R.S.Block. Was trained as a battalion signaller, he was Allenby's cypher Sgt, and witnessed the surrender of Jerusalem by the Turks in December 1917. There is a good chance he attended this school of signals. You might have seen him, in 2018 his image was projected onto 4 screens at the RAH during the 100th year of the end of WW1 remembrance service .
