Commitment to drawdown from BFG has been pretty much balls-out from the outset. So, what is this open-ended thing with Ayrshire (South) Barracks in Mönchengladbach?
There will be a very large (and presumably fully stocked/expensive) vehicle storage facility to supply the needs of an army that will no longer be there. The projected extension, long beyond the committed exit date of what remains of BFG, is not a particularly recent development.

Mönchengladbach is a long way from Estonia. What gives?

There is also an extended thing going on with a British amphibious unit in Minden (co-located within a Heer establishment).

Perhaps they're hanging on in the hope that the promised bus full of nurses from Rinteln will still show up.

Close enough for a first strike on Brussels. And its not as if the Belgians have got an army to stop us.
Oh yes, very good point sir!
Also good integration of lessons identified/learned as, bar the Battle of the Tannenberg Lakes, invading West is generally more successful than going east...
